Getting from Kalibo to your hotel in Boracay takes around 2 hours and involves a journey on road which takes around 90 minutes to Caticlan jetty. Then a 15 minute boat trip accross to Boracay. Some of the airlines are offering transfers on board, which cost around PHP 520 (correct at August 2016). This includes air conditioned coach, boat ticket, terminal fee and transfer to your hotel. However, if there are more than two of you travelling together, you may find it cheaper to hire a small private mini bus/car for around PHP 1500. You can also enquire at the transfer desk at kalibo airport for various options by road. On your return, your hotel should abe able to offer a transfer back to kalibo or you can easily make your own way back. Get a tricyle to Caticlan jetty and then you can negotiate with many private hire mini bus/cars waiting at the terminal.
Caticlan is the nearest airport to Boracay and avoids the 90 minute road journey you would have to take by flying to Kalibo. However flights are generally more expensive. Getting to your hotel in Boracay can still work out cheaper by flying to kailibo and taking into consideration the cost of the transfers from Kalibo to Boracay Island.
Outside Caticlan airport there are many tricyles which can take you to the Jetty at Caticlan which takes around five minutes. Cost is around PHP50 to PHP100. The boat trip to Boracay island takes around 15 minutes and costs around PHP 100. You also need to pay the terminal fee which is PHP100 and non residents also pay a small environment fee
